We spent our Labor Day at Hong Kong Disneyland! What we didn’t know was that this was also the first day back to school for kids in Hong Kong….so we had the place almost to ourselves! We had a great time – hardly any lines to wait in, and the size of the park is very manageable – we did the entire thing in just one day!
It was a magical day – especially for the three year old in our crowd. He was overwhelmed with joy and surprise! It was fun to watch. Our daughter, who is seven, is definitely “over” the princess stage (thank goodness!) and was totally keen on riding all the roller coasters repeatedly – hands up!
Here’s to Disney doing it right….all over the world!
The special subway train to Disneyland Hong Kong was all tricked out Mickey!
Even the handles are Mickey! Inside the seats were plush cushioned sofas and statuettes of Mickey and friends were on display behind glass.
Our first stop was at the Monster’s University station! We had Student ID badges made and practiced our best scary faces.
HK DIsneyland is smaller than the Orlando version – but they have all the stuff! The castle, many of the same rides like Space Mountain, the Jungle River Cruise, It’s a Small World, etc.
HK Disneyland definitely capitalizes on Buzz Lightyear! We rode this ride over and over and over! Superboy was thrilled!
Toy Story Land was so much fun!
The Lion King show was as good as everyone said it would be! Plus it was in the air conditioning!
